I am surprised to hear that the universities are freely allowing us to reside on campus and propagate Krsna Consciousness, this is a very good sign. I am going in a few days to San Francisco to speak at the San Francisco State University there on the topic of Krsna Consciousness: The Best Alternative Life Style, the Ideal Community, the New Social Order. The professors and students at the University intend to "examine particular new movements in depth. The basic issue underlying the study of these movements is whether they comprise the beginning of a trans-national world culture, and what long range social and political effects might result from them." They will continue to say anything or take items out of context to justify their so called positions of "Diksa" gurus. We see their theories about Diksa gurus change every couple of years just like the theories of mundane material science. They say oh we are following tradition now but we get our tradition from His Divine Grace as the Sampradaya Acarya Srila Prabhupada can change things according to TIME, PLACE and CIRCUMSTANCES to make us the fallen souls vaishnavas as long as the Sastric conclusions and tattvas stay the same there is no harm in changing the formalities. Many of them look at Diksa as the actual ceremony of giving beads and name, that physical ritual ceremony but we are well away of what Srila Prabhupada defined Diksa as the transmission of Transcendental Knowledge the ceremony being a formality is is also important but the essence of Diksa is that transmission of divya-jnana.

 

Srila Prabhupada is the only one who gives and continues to give the essence of Diksa from His Books and we follow His discipline not someone else's so we are His disciples.

 

Many have defeated their positions time and time again so they have to keep reinventing it to justify their so called positions, the reason is that many of the devotees are becoming knowledgeable and are actually understanding what Srila Prabhupada wanted, the bottoms line is we HAVE to follow what Srila Prabhupada wanted HIS ORDERS for HIS SOCIETY. Why did they not question Srila Prabhupada and ask Him that this is against Guru, Sadhu and Sastra at the time He made this Order??? Hmmmm??? why not say Srila Prabhupada this is against what other "traditions" do... who would dare question Srila Prabhupada but you see they all think that Srila Prabhupada is dead and gone so they think they can do what they want.

 

Well the fact of the matter is that the only position Srila Prabhupada gave to anyone in ISKCON is that of ritvik–representative of the acarya nothing else so that is the only position and the only position they can assume NOTHING else!!!

 

THEY ARE ALL RITVIKS!!!  - if they think otherwise show us the Proof of Srila Prabhupada ordering anyone to be DISKA Gurus, we are waiting...

Perhaps you know the picture of Madhvacarya, one of the great Acaryas in our line, who is holding two fingers up to indicate Krishna and jiva. The impersonalists hold up one finger because their idea is that everything is one. So if we make the Spiritual Master identical with Krishna, then we will also become impersonalists. Krishna says in Bhagavad-gita that He takes charge of a surrendered soul; so much so that Lord Krishna protects His devotee from all his sinful activities in the past. Similarly, the Spiritual Master, when He accepts a disciple and the disciple surrenders unto Him, He has got the responsibility of absorbing the sinful reaction of His disciples life. This is a great responsibility of the Spiritual Master. We should therefore be very careful not to overburden our Spiritual Master by further repetition of sinful activities. Of course, one who has entered into Krishna Consciousness cannot act deliberately anything sinful. Still, we should always be on guard against such activities. Sometimes we hear that people are going to church to confess their sinful actions for being excused, but as soon as he comes out of the church, he begins the same drama again. This is like the bathing of the elephant, who immediately throws dirt again on his body. We should not follow such examples. Lord Caitanya accepted Jagai and Madhai on condition they would not commit further sinful activities.
